Question: What do I do if online incident reporting is not right for me?
Answer: Call the Grand Prairie Police Department Non-Emergency Number at 972-237-8790 or call 911 if this is an EMERGENCY ONLY.
Question: What if this happened in another city can I file a report using this system?
Answer: No. If a crime took place outside of the City of Grand Prairie, you must call the police department for that city.
Question: What is a known suspect?
Answer: A known suspect is when you or someone else knows the person or where to find the person who committed the crime.
If this is an Emergency please call 911. Using this online citizen police report system allows you to submit a report immediately and print a copy of the police report for free. Please confirm the following to find out if online citizen police report filing is right for you:
Theft Reporting Criteria- You must be able to answer YES to all Questions.
- The Incident occurred within the City limits of Grand Prairie, Texas
- There is NO known suspect(s) in the offense.
- You are NOT reporting a Vehicle stolen.
- You are NOT reporting a Firearm stolen.
- You have NO SERIAL numbers for your property.
- The value of the property stolen IS LESS THAN $1,500.00
Vandalism Reporting Criteria - You must be able to answer YES to all Questions.
- The Incident occurred within the City limits of Grand Prairie, Texas
- There is NO known suspect(s) in the offense.
- The value of the property damaged IS LESS THAN $1,500.00
Vehicle Burglary - You must be able to answer YES to all Questions.
- The Incident occurred within the City limits of Grand Prairie, Texas
- There is NO known suspect(s) in the offense.
- You have NO SERIAL numbers for your property.
- The value of the property stolen from inside your vehicle IS LESS THAN $1,500.00
Identity Theft-. You must be able to answer YES to all Questions.
- You are a resident of the City of Grand Prairie, or the suspect(s) or offense occurred or is occurring within the City limits of Grand Prairie.
- Note *If you do have suspect information you can still use the online reporting system for this type of offense reporting and describe the suspect information you have in the narrative portion of the online report.
NOTE--- If you have documents you may turn them into the police dept. or MAIL to Grand Prairie Police Department located at 801 Conover Dr. Grand Prairie, Texas 75051. ATTN: RECORDS. YOU MUST INCLUDE the Permanent issued REPORT NUMBER on each document.
