Aggravated Robberies at the
Fountain Grocery at 1209 Fountain Parkway

Tuesday October 30, 2001 8:50 p.m.

A male suspect - described as being about 5'6" tall, weighing 150 lbs. - enters the store through the doors on the West side of the store. He is wearing a dark blue or black pull over sweater with a hood, blue jeans, black gloves and a white homemade skeleton mask. He is armed with a small caliber blue steel semi-automatic handgun. He pulled the slide back - as if to chamber a round - then began screaming obscenities as he ran behind the counter.

He pointed his weapon at the store clerk demanding all the money out of both cash registers. The clerk took the money out of both cash registers, putting the money in a white plastic grocery sack. The suspect then lifted both drawers out of both cash registers and removed all the money that was there. The man ran back around to the front of the counter and demanded the clerk's jewelry (a bracelet).

The man then told the clerk words to the effect of "you don't remember anything, right?" then the man ran out of the door where he came in and then ran to the North. The store reported a total of $500.00 as stolen.

Wednesday December 26, 2001 9:10 p.m.

A male suspect - described as being 5'7" tall, weighing 155 lbs. - enters the store through the doors on the South side of the business. He is wearing a dark blue or black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and dark gloves. His face is covered with a Halloween skeleton mask. In his right hand he is armed with a small caliber blue steel semi-automatic handgun. He told the clerk (same clerk as in first robbery) "I don't want any trouble, just give me the money." The clerk complied, giving the man money from both cash registers.

The man then told the clerk to give him a pack of MARLBORO brand ULTRA LIGHT MENTHOL cigarettes. The man ran out of the same door he came in, then ran around the West side of the store to the North. The store lost between $100 - $150 in this robbery.

Saturday January 26, 2002 12:30 p.m.

The same male suspect enters the store through the door on the West side of the store.
He was wearing black gloves, blue jeans, a green sweatshirt, and a black jacket with a hood and the white Halloween skeleton mask. He jumped over the counter next to the cash register, pointed a small caliber blue steel semi-automatic handgun at the clerk (different clerk this time), saying "Get back and sit on the floor."

The man had the clerk open the cash register where he took $50.00. The man opened the cabinet below the register from where he took $150.00. As the suspect was leaving the store he grabbed a pack of MARLBORO brand MENTHOL cigarettes. The man then ran out of the South side door.

Grand Prairie Police Investigators are looking for information as to the identity of this man. He has worn the same Halloween type skeleton mask in all three robberies and would appear to favor MARLBORO brand MENTHOL cigarettes. Has worn blue jeans, dark gloves and a sweatshirt with a hood on it in all three robberies as well.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers or the Grand Prairie Police. Crime Stoppers offers a reward up to $1,000.00 for information leading to the arrest of suspects such as this.
