Texas H.E.A.T. (Help
End Auto Theft) is a voluntary statewide vehicle registration program
designed as a theft deterrent. Vehicle owners can sign an agreement
that their vehicles may be stopped between 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. If

Owners can grant additional authority at the time of registration to
have their vehicle stopped any time of the day it is being driven from
Texas into Mexico.
The Citizens on Patrol
will conduct H.E.A.T. and V.I.N. registration on the following dates
