A Service Offered By The Grand Prairie Police Department

Operation I.D. loans an engraver and provides an inventory list to citizens, free of charge. Valuable property should be marked with the owners DRIVERS LICENSE or STATE I.D. number. Also provided ia a unique sticker to be placed on your property, notifying potential thieves that you have engraved your valuables. This is much more effective than serial numbers, giving police the ability to trace stolen property back to its rightful owner.

How Does Operation I.D. Help ?

1. Deters the theft of property.
2. Assist in the recovery of stolen property.
3. Reduces the street value of property.
4. Assist in the apprehension and prosecution of thieves.
