Join us at the 5TH ANNUAL TARRANT COUNTY Guns and Hoses “Remember the Fallen” Golf Tournament! If you have never played in a Gun and Hoses golf tournament, you will not want to miss out!

It is with great honor that the Hunter family, the Sergeant Gregory L. Hunter Memorial Foundation and the Grand Prairie Police Department present our continued partnership with the Guns and Hoses Foundation of North Texas as we host the 5th Annual Tarrant County Guns and Hoses Remember the Fallen golf tournament on Monday, September 26, 2022, at the Walnut Creek Golf Course in Mansfield, Texas.

This is an annual event honoring and remembering the brave and selfless service and sacrifice of 30-year veteran, Sgt. Gregory L. Hunter, who was tragically murdered by an armed fugitive at the Grand Prairie Walmart on June 18, 2004, Officer Lyndon F. King, who was struck and killed by a drunk driver while working an accident scene on I-30 near the 7th Avenue overpass on March 1, 1982, Officer Albert “AJ” R. Castañeda, Jr., who was struck and killed by a 17 year-old driver while working traffic enforcement on the George W. Bush Turnpike on June 7, 2019 and Officer Andrew R. MacDonald, who died on October 18, 2021 from complications as the result of contracting COVID-19. We salute and honor all officers and firefighters across our nation who have made the supreme sacrifice.

The Sergeant Gregory L. Hunter Memorial Foundation, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, whose primary purpose and mission is to support law enforcement and its endeavors, raise awareness of law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty, provide college scholarships to students in the Grand Prairie Independent School District and dependent children of officers and civilian employees who work for the Grand Prairie Police Department, as well as support interests of humanity and other activities pertaining to community and other related law enforcement endeavors. The Guns and Hoses Foundation of North Texas, a non-profit 501(c)(3), was founded in 2002. This foundation serves 20 counties in the North Texas area, equating to over 20,000 sworn peace officers and firefighters. The foundation offers support, immediate financial assistance to surviving families within 72-hours of an officer/firefighter line of duty death, Christmas funds first-year and scholarships to each dependent child of the fallen upon graduation. To date, this foundation has served 65 families, including over 60 children, in the DFW Metroplex and surrounding areas. Sadly, the work of these foundations will never be done.

Our success over the past years was made possible by the generosity of local businesses, private citizens, golfers, and volunteers who support our cause. We invite you to be a part of this year’s charitable event by making a donation as a level sponsor, sponsoring a hole, displaying a vendor tent, being a golf cart, shirt/cap or ball sponsor, playing in the tournament or by donating a raffle item. There are opportunities for everyone.

We hope you will be a part of our event this year by supporting this tournament. Please make checks payable to the Guns and Hoses Foundation of North Texas and reference “Remember the Fallen”, or for your convenience, you may pay by credit card. Remittance address for your tax-deductible donation is:
